President Ilham Aliyev lays foundation stone for social housing complex in Nakhchivan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for a social housing complex consisting of 518 apartments in Nakhchivan city on August 11.

The information was released by the Press Service of the President of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Board of the State Housing Development Agency Sadiq Sadigov briefed the President on the facilities and conditions planned for the residential complex.

It was reported that nearly five hectares of land have been allocated for the construction of multi-apartment residential buildings (affordable housing) in Nakhchivan.

The complex will include 16 buildings ranging from six to seven storeys. A total of 518 apartments will be constructed, including 93 one-bedroom, 37 two-bedroom, 351 three-bedroom and 37 four-bedroom apartments.

The residential complex will be equipped with all necessary infrastructure to ensure comfortable living conditions for residents. The project includes the construction of a kindergarten and other service facilities.

The complex will be provided with electricity, gas, water supply and wastewater systems. Roads, sidewalks, landscaping and green areas will also be created within the territory.

The President was also informed about projects already implemented and planned by the State Housing Development Agency.
