BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Nakhchivan is the most suitable location in Azerbaijan for generating solar electricity, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.
The President noted that Nakhchivan has significant solar energy potential, stressing that this conclusion was reached based on monitoring and detailed analysis.
President Ilham Aliyev said that more than 600 hectares of land have already been identified for solar energy projects.
He added that solar power plants with a capacity of hundreds of megawatts are planned to be built in these areas, contributing to the expansion of Azerbaijan’s renewable energy sector.
