Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have reaffirmed commitment to advancing the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, viewing the initiative as a key element of regional transport connectivity and economic cooperation, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said following talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Uzbekistan and Kuwait discussed expanding cooperation in the mining sector, including attracting Kuwaiti investment into geological exploration and mineral processing projects, during a meeting between Uzbekistan's Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and Kuwait's ambassador to the country.
Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova attended the Conference of Speakers of National and Regional Parliaments in South Africa. Speaking at the event, she highlighted the growing importance of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing global challenges. Gafarova emphasized the role of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, which now includes more than 70 national parliaments. She also reaffirmed Azerbaijan's commitment to expanding cooperation with African countries based on equality and mutual respect. The speaker called for stronger cooperation between the Inter-Parliamentary Union and regional parliamentary organizations. She stressed that Africa should have a greater voice in international decision-making. The conference was organized by the Pan-African Parliament.
The 3rd meeting of the Interstate Council of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan was held in the city of Cholpon-Ata with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, TurkicWorld's special correspondent reports.
