BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. The construction of a hydroelectric power plant in Ordubad district is planned, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.
The President recalled that a State Programme for the overall development of Nakhchivan had recently been adopted and an action plan related to irrigation had been prepared.
“I sent a large team here, all issues were analysed, and work has begun,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
The head of state noted that energy and water infrastructure projects are among the important priorities in the development of Nakhchivan.
