BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Nakhchivan gave Azerbaijan the great leader Heydar Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.
The President noted that the Azerbaijani people are fortunate to take pride in their history, culture and outstanding personalities.
“Azerbaijan is a happy nation. We can be proud of our history, our culture and our prominent figures,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
The head of state also emphasised the important role of Nakhchivan in Azerbaijan’s history, noting that the region has produced many distinguished personalities.
“Nakhchivan has given Azerbaijan many outstanding figures. Nakhchivan gave the Azerbaijani people a great leader like Heydar Aliyev,” President Ilham Aliyev stated.
