BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Azerbaijan also aims to enter the European market with electricity exports, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.
The President noted that there is no other country in the region that has such extensive energy resources and capabilities, including oil, gas and electricity.
“There is no second country in the region where we are located that is supplied with such a level of energy resources, whether it is oil and gas or electricity,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
He added that by expanding export opportunities to neighbouring countries, Azerbaijan also plans to access the European energy market.
“We have already entered Europe with our oil and gas. However, we also want to enter with electricity,” the President stated.
