BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Many international organisations and several countries are showing interest in the Nakhchivan segment of Azerbaijan’s railway network, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.
The President noted that one of the interested parties is the European Union.
“Many international organisations and some countries are interested in this railway, especially in the Nakhchivan segment of Azerbaijan’s railways. One of them is the European Union,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
The head of state added that representatives of the European Union had been sent to Nakhchivan to familiarise themselves with the situation on the ground.
“They came here, saw the situation firsthand, and they also want to become participants in this corridor,” President Ilham Aliyev stated.
