BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 16, Gulf countries are increasing security measures around key infrastructure as regional tensions rise. Air defenses have been strengthened, and military preparedness intensified to prepare for any potential scenario.
Critical infrastructure including oil and gas facilities, airports, and desalination plants—is under heightened protection. Bahrain reported intercepting a large number of drones and missiles coming from Iran, with similar claims coming from other countries in the region.
Experts warn that while air defense systems provide a measure of protection, they may not withstand prolonged or large-scale attacks. Any wider conflict could severely damage infrastructure, with serious consequences for regional security and the global economy.
In response, Gulf states are seeking to bring all parties to the negotiating table to promote dialogue and resolve the conflict peacefully.
