BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has threatened renewed attacks on Iran’s energy and civilian infrastructure if Tehran launches another attack against Israel.
Katz said that any Iranian attack on Israel would remove what he described as existing restrictions on Israel’s ability to target Iran. He warned that Israel would target a wide range of Iranian national infrastructure, including energy facilities.
“We will cripple all of Iran’s national military and civilian infrastructure – including energy infrastructure,” Katz said in a speech, adding that such attacks could cause severe disruption across the country.
Israel launched a joint war with the United States against Iran in February, according to the report, but has not taken part in the latest round of fighting.
Katz’s remarks add to concerns that renewed hostilities could expand beyond military targets and affect critical civilian and energy infrastructure, potentially creating further risks for regional stability and global energy markets.
