BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 16.
On March 13, 2026, the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, met with Azerbaijani media representatives at the Foundation’s headquarters in Baku,TurkicWorld reports.
During the meeting, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova presented detailed information on the Foundation’s activities, implemented projects, achieved results, and plans for the upcoming period. She emphasized the important role of the media in promoting the activities of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and noted that the organization is one of the key international structures contributing to the promotion of the rich culture and heritage of the Turkic world on the international stage. According to her, in 2024 -2025 the Foundation implemented more than 135 projects, events, and initiatives.
It was also noted that the Foundation has recently expanded its membership: in 2025 Uzbekistan joined as a full member, while Turkmenistan obtained observer status.
During the meeting, several projects aimed at preserving tangible cultural heritage were presented, including the restoration of the Alykul Osmonov House-Museum in Kyrgyzstan, the restoration of the Gochahmadli Mosque in the Fuzuli district of Azerbaijan, and the museification of the ancient Kulan settlement in Kazakhstan. In addition, participants were informed about the Foundation’s publishing projects and digital initiatives aimed at promoting the cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the Foundation thanked the media representatives for their attention to the organization’s activities and their information support, emphasizing that the media are reliable partners in promoting the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.
The event continued with an iftar dinner hosted by the President of the Foundation in honor of the media representatives.
