IRGC commander says forces are ready to respond to any threat

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. Mohammad Karami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces, has said Iranian forces are prepared to respond decisively to any potential threat.

In a post on X, Karami stated that troops of the Hamzeh Seyyed al-Shohada Headquarters in northwestern Iran remain on high alert against what he described as any "miscalculation by extra-regional enemies or terrorist groups."

The commander said the forces, supported by intelligence capabilities and a high level of operational readiness, are equipped to confront emerging security challenges.

“Operational readiness, and leveraging faith, technology, and modern sciences, are prepared to deliver a decisive response to any threat,” Karami wrote.

His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continued military rhetoric between Iran and its adversaries.
