Uzbek, Russian FMs go head-to-head on burning issues of bilateral cooperation

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 16. Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov has held a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, TurkicWorld reports.

According to the information, the sides talked about the nitty-gritty of Russia-Uzbekistan interaction, including at regional and international levels, as well as the agenda of upcoming bilateral events.

Furthermore, the parties went over the ins and outs of the foreign ministries' main duties in light of the agreements made after Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Uzbekistan in May of this year.

The sides also reaffirmed their commitment to close coordination of diplomatic efforts to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Moscow and Tashkent, including joint work at the UN and various multilateral integration platforms.
