Pakistan Iran United States Diplomacy Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding

İran says Us-İran memorandum will not be signed on sunday, but may follow in coming days

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has stated that the US-Iran memorandum of understanding will not be signed on Sunday, according to Iranian state media, although he did not rule out the possibility of it being signed in the coming days.

TurkicWorld reports that he said the so-called “Islamabad memorandum”, currently being pursued through Pakistan’s mediation, is focused on ending the war. He added that at this stage there is no discussion of the nuclear issue within the framework of the agreement.

Baghaei noted that the timing of any signing remains uncertain, stressing that while it will not take place tomorrow, it could still happen in the near future depending on developments.

He also cautioned that due to what he described as instability on the other side, statements regarding the process should be treated carefully.
