BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says some financial and foreign exchange restrictions imposed on the country have been eased as diplomatic efforts continue.
According to the semi-official Fars News Agency, Pezeshkian said the continued export of Iranian oil, the easing of certain financial and currency restrictions, and new opportunities for economic cooperation are among the results of Iran's recent agreements.
He suggested that these developments could help strengthen Iran's economy and expand international economic cooperation.
Iran has faced significant economic challenges in recent years, including a sharp depreciation of its national currency amid heightened tensions with Western countries.
The United States withdrew from the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement in 2018 and reimposed wide-ranging sanctions, contributing to a prolonged economic and currency crisis in Iran.
