Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon have killed at least 10 people. The attacks are being viewed as another violation of the ceasefire reportedly in effect since April 17.

According to reports, three people were killed in the town of Shoukin in the Nabatieh region. A strike on a vehicle in the village of Kfar Dajjal resulted in two fatalities. In the village of Lweizeh, three people were killed after a residential building was hit, while another strike in Shoukin claimed the lives of two more individuals.

In addition, Israeli forces carried out airstrikes near a roundabout in the city of Nabatieh and in the town of Siddiqin in the Tyre district.

Casualties and humanitarian situation

Although Israel claims that the strikes targeted Hezbollah positions, a significant number of those killed are reported to be civilians.

Over the past two days, a total of 44 people have been killed in attacks across Lebanon. Since the escalation began on March 2, the death toll has reportedly reached 2,618. The conflict has displaced more than one million people.

Military tensions continue

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has stated that it will continue its attacks against Israel. The group reported targeting Israeli troop concentrations in southern areas, as well as military equipment. The use of drones has intensified in recent days, with reports indicating that three Israeli soldiers have been killed.

It should be noted that the latest escalation between Israel and Hezbollah began on March 2. Since then, Israel has conducted large-scale air operations and ground incursions in southern Lebanon.

Despite the ceasefire announced on April 17 and later extended, the situation in the region remains tense and military operations are effectively ongoing.
