Gaza death toll rises as Israeli attacks continue

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. At least two Palestinians have been killed and 10 others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry.

The ministry said the latest casualties bring the number of Palestinians killed since the US-brokered ceasefire came into effect last October to at least 1,320, with 4,385 others injured.

It also reported that the death toll from the Israeli military campaign in Gaza since October 2023 has reached at least 73,456 people, while 174,496 others have been wounded.

The Health Ministry said Israeli attacks have continued despite the ceasefire agreement, resulting in further casualties among Palestinians.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critical, with ongoing concerns over civilian safety and access to essential services.

The figures released by the Gaza Health Ministry include casualties recorded during the conflict and subsequent attacks, though they have not been independently verified.

The conflict, which began in October 2023, has caused widespread destruction across the Gaza Strip and intensified international calls for humanitarian measures.
