BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. Israeli forces injured a Palestinian journalist with rubber-coated metal bullets during a raid in the village of Deir Abu Mash’al, north of Ramallah, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.
According to Wafa, citing local sources, dozens of other Palestinians suffered tear gas inhalation after Israeli soldiers fired gas canisters at farmers harvesting olives in an attempt to force them to leave their land.
Journalist Issam al-Rimawi was struck in the thigh while covering the incident.
Attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinian farmers and olive harvesters have reportedly increased across the occupied West Bank since the start of the olive harvest season.
