CENTCOM denies targeting civilians after deadly US strike in Iran

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. US Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied deliberately targeting civilians after Iranian authorities said a US strike hit a wedding gathering in Sirik, killing at least four people, including two children.

According to Iranian authorities, more than 50 people were wounded in the attack.

Iranian officials said the strike hit a location where a wedding was taking place, resulting in civilian casualties. The incident has drawn attention to the impact of ongoing US military operations in Iran.
