TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 23. Uzbekistan could soon be accessible via Air France, TurkicWorld reports.
The matter was reviewed during a meeting between Chairman of Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev and Director of Commercial Affairs of Air France Frederic Decors within the framework of the IFTM Top Resa international tourism exhibition in Paris.
During the meeting, the sides discussed increasing tourist flow from France to Uzbekistan, as well as cooperation in promoting Uzbekistan's tourism potential on the airline's platforms.
Meanwhile, the number of French citizens visiting Uzbekistan totaled 12,200 from January through July 2024. This figure increased by 31.2 percent (2,900 people) compared to the same period in 2023.
The main purposes of French citizens' visits to Uzbekistan are recreation (10,780 people), business trips (662 people), visits to relatives (640 people), commercial purposes (43 people) and study (28 people).
