Erdogan Tells Macron Diplomacy Needed for Fair, Lasting Peace in Ukraine

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 23. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan told his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that "all diplomatic resources" must be utilized to end the war in Ukraine with a fair and lasting peace, his office said on Sunday, as countries discussed a draft US plan to end the war, TurkicWorld reports via Asharq Al-Awsat.

NATO member Türkiye has maintained cordial ties between Kyiv and Moscow during the war, providing military help to Ukraine but refusing to join Western sanctions on Moscow. It has hosted three rounds of peace talks between the parties and offered to host a leaders' meeting.
