Vance expects to travel to Switzerland for Iran talks, but trip delayed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. US Vice President JD Vance said he expected to travel to Switzerland “within the next couple of days” for negotiations with Iran, but the trip has now been postponed.

TurkicWorld reports that in an interview with Fox News, Vance noted that travel plans depend on “delicate coordination” and diplomatic protocols. The White House and Swiss authorities confirmed that while preparations continue, the official US-Iran talks in Switzerland have not yet begun.

Earlier, Vance intended to lead the discussions, but logistical issues and renewed regional tensions caused the delay. US envoys are proceeding with preliminary engagements in Switzerland in the meantime.
