BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. On April 7, 2025, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, within the framework of the cooperation between the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an International Conference of Young Turkologists titled “NEOTÜRK: at the Crossroads of Eras and Technologies” was held, TurkicWorld reports.
The event was dedicated to the 1155th anniversary of the birth of the great philosopher, mathematician, astronomer, physicist, music theorist, and prominent orientalist of the Islamic Golden Age — Abu Nasr al-Farabi, as well as the 950th anniversary of the famous encyclopedia of Turkic written literature of the 11th century — “Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk”, created by the outstanding scholar and thinker Mahmud Kashgari Barskani.
Among the speakers at the international conference were Dr. Anar Fazylzhan, Director of the Akhmet Baitursynuly Institute of Linguistics; Mr. Ayhan Korkmaz, Education Advisor of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty; and Professor Raushangul Avakova, Head of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory at Al-Farabi University.
