Kyrgyzstan increases gold exports to Switzerland

According to the National Statistics Committee, Kyrgyzstan exported 598.305 kg of gold to Switzerland in April, TurkicWorld reports.

The data for January to March indicated that 645.255 kg were delivered to Switzerland during those months. Overall, from January to April, the export of precious metals to Switzerland increased to 1,243.285 kg, showing a 90% growth.

The total value of the gold sold to Switzerland in the four-month period is estimated at $78,223,900, averaging $62.9 per gram or $1,956.9 per ounce, which closely aligns with the gold price on the London Stock Exchange.

In total, Kyrgyzstan exported 1,411.168 kg of gold from January to April, generating a total revenue of $87,922,749. The breakdown of exports includes 167.882 kg to China (Hong Kong) valued at $9,698,859, averaging $1,796.9 per ounce. The majority, accounting for 88% of the total volume, was exported to Switzerland, amounting to 1,243.285 kg.
