BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Data and analytics firm Kpler reports that 71 vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz between Friday and Sunday, with a peak of 35 crossings recorded on Saturday.
TurkicWorld reports that the company’s tracking data highlights a partial recovery in maritime traffic through the strategic waterway, which has been heavily affected by regional tensions in recent months.
For comparison, Kpler notes that before the escalation of conflict involving the US and Israel against Iran in late February, the Strait typically saw between 100 and 130 ships per day.
The figures suggest that while shipping activity is resuming, traffic levels remain significantly below pre-crisis norms, reflecting ongoing security concerns and disruptions in one of the world’s most critical energy transit routes.
