BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. Iran and Cyprus have held diplomatic talks on the recently signed agreement between Tehran and Washington, focusing on its potential impact on regional stability and future economic cooperation.
TurkicWorld reports that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos exchanged views during a phone call on the US-Iran agreement and its wider implications.
According to a statement published on Araghchi’s Telegram channel, both sides expressed hope that the agreement would mark the beginning of a new phase in Iran’s international relations and help expand economic ties with other countries.
Kombos, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, described the deal as an important step toward strengthening regional stability and improving cooperation between European states and Iran.
The discussions reflect growing international engagement with the US-Iran agreement, as various countries assess its potential impact on diplomacy, security, and economic relations in the Middle East and beyond.
