Israeli Airstrikes Intensify in the Tyre Region

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The intensity of Israeli airstrikes in and around the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon has reportedly increased significantly. Increased activity of fighter jets and drones has been observed throughout the day.

TurkicWorld reports that according to local sources, military activity around the city of Tyre was observed from nighttime through most of the morning hours. Israeli fighter aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles were seen operating in the airspace.

According to reports, the Israeli military has issued mandatory evacuation orders for 11 residential areas in the region. It is stated that the decision affects both large and small communities and directly impacts thousands of people.

The hills surrounding Tyre and suburban districts were subjected to continuous airstrikes throughout the day. Four powerful strikes were reportedly recorded in the Al-Abbassiyah area.

Additionally, casualties were reported after a moving vehicle near the Qasimiya Bridge was targeted. According to available information, the bridge had previously been destroyed and later temporarily restored by the government, though it is still considered a dangerous area.

Sources also indicate that drones are targeting areas that were once densely populated residential neighborhoods. Although thousands of people have left the region, some residents still remain in those areas.

Ongoing military activity continues to raise concerns that tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border may be entering a new phase.
