Research Area of the Krasnaya Rechka Settlement Expanded

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. In the village of Krasnaya Rechka, Ysyk-Ata District, Chuy Region of the Kyrgyz Republic, the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, presented an official certificate to Ms. Gulbara Abdykalykova, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, TurkicWorld reports.

The certificate was issued for the implementation of the first phase to expand the museum zone of the World Heritage site in the settlement.

The presentation of the certificate highlights the significance of efforts to preserve cultural heritage and the importance of international cooperation in this field.

At the event, representatives from both sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts in preserving archaeological monuments included in the transnational serial nomination list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, "The Chang’an-Tian-shan Silk Road Corridor"

The Karakhanid residence, dating back to the 10th–12th centuries, is a unique example of medieval architecture in Central Asia and an integral part of the historical and cultural landscape of Krasnaya Rechka — one of the key points along the Great Silk Road. The new shelter will protect the site from weather conditions and create more stable environments for research and tourist visits.
