BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. Lebanon’s army says its specialised engineering units have dismantled four unexploded aerial bombs allegedly left behind by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon. The operation was carried out in coordination with local authorities in areas previously affected by military activity.
According to the Lebanese Army Command–Directorate of Orientation, the bombs were found in the towns of Abba and Harouf in Nabatieh, Burj Shemali in Tyre, and Debbine in Marjayoun. Officials confirmed that the devices were safely neutralised without casualties or material damage. The National News Agency (NNA) reported that unexploded ordnance continues to pose a serious risk to civilians in southern Lebanon, particularly in rural and agricultural areas. The army said it will continue clearing operations as part of ongoing security efforts.
