Trump says record number of vessels leaving Strait of Hormuz

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 2. US President Donald Trump said a record number of vessels are passing through the Strait of Hormuz, pointing to what he described as improving maritime activity in the strategic waterway.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in the US state of North Dakota, Trump addressed supporters while standing in front of Spanish-American War re-enactors.

During his remarks, Trump said shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz had reached record levels. He also described communism as the "greatest threat," linking his comments to broader geopolitical and security issues.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most critical maritime routes, handling a significant share of global oil and liquefied natural gas exports.
