BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 5. Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty have discussed bilateral relations and the disruption of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Bahrain’s national news agency, the two ministers held a telephone conversation focused on the regional situation and the impact of disruptions to maritime traffic.
They discussed how interruptions to shipping through the strategic waterway could affect international trade and emphasized the need to strengthen regional efforts to promote security and stability.
The talks come amid growing concerns over the impact of tensions around the Strait of Hormuz on maritime transportation, energy supplies and global trade.
Both sides stressed the importance of regional cooperation and efforts aimed at maintaining stability in the region.
