BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Secretary-General of the Organization of American States (OAS) Organization of American States has expressed solidarity with Venezuela and said the Western Hemisphere is prepared to provide support following the recent devastating earthquakes.
TurkicWorld reports that speaking at an OAS General Assembly session in Panama, Secretary-General Albert Ramdin said that while the full scale of the disaster is still unclear, regional countries are ready to assist Venezuelans during what he described as a very difficult time.
He added that the hemispheric community will be prepared to mobilize support for relief and recovery efforts once more information becomes available from affected areas.
The statement comes as international organizations and governments begin coordinating responses to the earthquake emergency in Venezuela.
