BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. Jordan has sent its 13th humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and the World Food Programme (WFP).
ArabAZ reports that the convoy was prepared based on field assessments of humanitarian needs and is intended to support the healthcare sector and provide essential supplies to people most in need.
The convoy consists of 14 trucks carrying medical supplies and personal hygiene kits. The JHCO said it continues to coordinate humanitarian assistance with international partners and direct aid toward priority sectors.
The organization expressed appreciation to the Syrian authorities for facilitating the convoy’s passage and helping ensure that the assistance reaches its intended beneficiaries.
The JHCO also said it is coordinating with Lebanese authorities to ensure that different forms of aid reach the areas most affected by the crisis.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Jordan has sent 12 previous aid convoys comprising 239 trucks carrying 2,756 tonnes of various relief supplies.
The latest convoy reflects Jordan’s continued efforts to provide humanitarian assistance and support affected communities.
