BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has spoken with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud following the latest Houthi attacks.
During the call, Safadi “affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia in confronting the Houthi aggressions, and its absolute support for all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens,” according to a statement from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.
Safadi also expressed Amman’s “support for the Yemeni legitimacy”, before the two ministers discussed efforts to “end the dangerous escalation in the region”.
Casualties and damage were reported at airports in the Saudi cities of Jizan and Najran following Houthi attacks overnight.
