BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. Pakistan and Egypt have held diplomatic talks focused on the recent understandings between the United States and Iran, as regional actors continue to coordinate responses to the emerging agreement.
TurkicWorld reports that according to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke by telephone with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
The two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments surrounding the US-Iran memorandum of understanding and preparations for its forthcoming formal signing in Switzerland, scheduled for Friday in Bürglen/Bürgenstock, according to the statement.
Officials said the discussion reflected shared regional interest in the outcome of the agreement and its potential impact on broader Middle East stability, particularly in relation to ongoing security and diplomatic dynamics.
The talks come as several regional states continue to engage in parallel consultations over the implications of the US-Iran deal, which is expected to shape security arrangements and economic conditions across the Gulf and wider region.
