BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 8. Qatar has stressed the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz, describing its restoration as a matter of “paramount importance” for Qatar and countries across the region.
Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ibrahim Al Hashami made the remarks during a briefing, underscoring the strategic importance of the vital waterway for regional stability and international trade.
The Strait of Hormuz is a major global energy corridor, with disruptions to shipping through the waterway posing risks to regional economies and global energy markets.
