President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the founder and CEO of Lasselsberger Group Josef Lasselsberger on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, TurkicWorld reports.
During the meeting, issues of implementing high-tech projects in the field of building materials were discussed. Particular attention was paid to projects for the production of dry mixes and microcalcite in the Samarkand region, as well as marble processing in the Kashkadarya region.
The parties agreed to accelerate the launch of new projects, including the production of high-purity aluminum, metakaolin, porcelain stoneware, paints and varnishes, and fiber cement.
Founded in 1957, the Lasselsberger Group is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of building materials, ceramics and mineral products with an annual turnover of $20 billion.
