BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to put additional efforts towards the conclusion of the Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations in the shortest possible period, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, TurkicWorld reports.
"On 26 September 2024 under the initiative and with participation of the U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met in New York, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The parties agreed to put additional efforts towards the conclusion of the Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations in the shortest possible period.
The Azerbaijani and Armenian sides expressed their gratitude to the Secretary of State for organizing the meeting," the statement said.

"The next round of Azerbaijan-Armenia negotiations on the agreement on peace and establishment of interstate relations between the two countries has just kicked off in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of UNGA79 with the participation of Foreign Ministers Bayramov Jeyhun and Ararat Mirzoyan at the initiative and participation of US Secretary Anthony Blinken," Azerbaijan's MFA published on its X page.
