As part of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the co-chairman of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council and Chairman of the Board of ACWA Power Muhammad Abunayan, TurkicWorld reports.
During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation with Saudi companies were discussed, especially in the context of the implementation of current investment projects.
President Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the successful partnership with ACWA Power, noting the company's important role in attracting Saudi investment to the country.
The parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of joint projects in the areas of energy, transport, information technology, healthcare, as well as in the modernization of heat supply systems, water management and agriculture.
