Turkmenistan and Pakistan seek new avenues for collaboration

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 8. Turkmenistan and Pakistan are looking for new ways of cooperating, TurkicWorld reports.

According to the Turkmen Embassy in Islamabad, this topic was discussed between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov and the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs of Pakistan Ahad Khan Cheema.

During the meeting, the parties focused on strengthening economic ties and exploring new areas of cooperation between the two countries.

At the same time, they stressed the importance of intensifying bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Atajan Movlamov noted the potential for increasing trade volumes and opportunities for investment in various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, and technology.

In turn, the minister expressed Pakistan's commitment to creating a favorable environment for foreign investment and shared his opinion on the country's recent economic reforms aimed at promoting growth and stability.

Meanwhile, economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan has significantly strengthened in recent years, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructure.

The most important project between the countries at the moment is the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline (Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - India), which is designed to provide Pakistan and India with Turkmen gas, which will contribute to the energy security of the region.
