BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 2. State-owned commercial bank Dayhanbank has become the market leader in terms of the number of active bank cards in Turkmenistan as of early September 2024, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan (CBT), Dayhanbank has issued more than 2.05 million bank cards.
The second place in terms of active bank cards is occupied by the state commercial bank "Turkmenistan" with the number of over 1.12 million issued cards. Third on the list is "Halkbank" with 706,144 cards.
The majority of bank cards are concentrated in the Ashgabat region - more than 1.95 million. Mary and Lebap occupy the second and third places with 1.05 million and 963,355 bank cards, respectively.
