ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 3. Turkmenistan implements national programs to improve the quality of life of the population, Turkmenistan's permanent representative to the UN Geneva Office Vepa Hajiyev said at a side event of Central Asian countries within the 57th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland, TurkicWorld reports via Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry.
"The importance of the right to development is a fundamental element of human rights. Turkmenistan implements national programs aimed at improving the quality of life of the population," the representative stressed.
The event was put together hand in hand with the permanent missions of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan.
The event brought together a melting pot of participants from Central Asian countries, along with representatives from international organizations and human rights experts, who rolled up their sleeves to discuss the ins and outs of implementing the right to development in the region.
