BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. Within the framework of her visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, held a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Mirbek Mambetaliev, TurkicWorld reports.
During the meeting, Aktoty Raimkulova congratulated Mr. Mambetaliev on his recent appointment as Minister and expressed confidence that under his leadership, Kyrgyzstan would continue to play an active and proactive role in strengthening the Turkic cultural dialogue.
The parties positively assessed the projects implemented by the Foundation in support of the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people as an integral part of the shared Turkic heritage.
Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova noted that in 2024, the Foundation carried out several important initiatives in Kyrgyzstan, including the restoration and museification of the Alykul Osmonov House-Museum, the publication of his poetry collection "From time to time" in Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani, the exhibition of Mahmud al-Kashgari’s Divan-i Lughat at-Turk held during the Bishkek Summit of the Heads of Turkic States, the establishment of the Turkic Heritage Center at Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University equipped with modern multimedia technology, and the successful international conference at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris dedicated to the 950th anniversary of Divan-i Lughat at-Turk.
The President also informed the Minister about upcoming Kyrgyz-related projects planned for 2025. In particular, she mentioned the launch of a three-year project for the museification and preservation of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Krasnaya Rechka Settlement,” with a funding allocation of 2 million Kyrgyz soms in 2025.
Mrs. Raimkulova reaffirmed the Foundation’s readiness to further strengthen cooperation and expressed gratitude to the Ministry for its continuous support of the Foundation’s initiatives and its commitment to the preservation and promotion of Turkic cultural heritage.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of the Foundation extended an invitation to Minister Mirbek Mambetaliev to visit the Foundation’s headquarters at his convenience to discuss the long-term cooperation agenda.
