BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. About 80 new ambulances have been delivered to Azerbaijan ahead of COP29, Executive Director of Azerbaijani Medical Territorial Units Management Association (TABIB) Vugar Gurbanov said at a briefing on the organization of medical care within COP29 in Baku today, TurkicWorld reports.
"Emergency medical services are a crucial issue. In preparation for the COP29 conference, about 80 new ambulances have been delivered to our country. Our ambulance fleet will be fully capable of meeting the demand," he added.
Gurbanov pointed out that they've left no stone unturned to guarantee top-notch medical services for guests and participants during the COP29 conference.
"As part of these initiatives, the new ambulances are equipped with modern technologies and will operate seamlessly throughout the conference. Every medical staff member will be fully trained and able to respond promptly in emergencies. Special teams consisting of local medical crews have been formed for COP29. These teams will ensure the safety and health of participants during the conference," he added.
In under two weeks, Azerbaijan will host COP29. This decision was made at the COP28 plenary meeting held in Dubai on December 11 last year.
