SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, October 8. The Shusha city hospital's construction will soon be finalized, enhancing the quality of medical services in the city, Aydin Karimov, the Azerbaijani president's special representative in the Shusha district, said, TurkicWorld Karabakh bureau reports.
He made the remark at the IV meeting of the health ministers of the member states and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Shusha today.
Karimov pointed out that following the 44-day Second Karabakh War, the wheels of restoration and construction started turning in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur.
"Measures have commenced to deliver superior medical services to individuals employed here. Azerbaijani physicians commenced their duties in Shusha from the inaugural day. For the fourth consecutive year, physicians have been rendering their services in Shusha, as well as throughout Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur," he added.
To note, the event organized jointly by the OTS and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health is attended by the OTS Secretary General, health ministers from member and observer countries, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, as well as invited scholars from various countries.
The event schedules signing of bilateral memoranda of understanding between the health ministers of the member states and observers, along with a "Protocol of intent to establish Turktransplant".
