BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. US President Donald Trump has announced that the agreement reached with Iran has been formally signed, marking a major diplomatic breakthrough with potential implications for regional security and global energy markets.
TurkicWorld reports that speaking alongside French President Emmanuel Macron in Evian-les-Bains during the G7 summit, Trump stated that the agreement has entered its legal implementation phase and that all parties have signed the document.
According to information provided during the announcement, the agreement was signed by Trump, US Vice President JD Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
Trump also made a significant statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz, saying the strategic waterway has already partially reopened and is expected to be fully operational by Friday. The development is expected to ease concerns in global shipping and energy markets following months of disruption.
The US president emphasized that the agreement includes a specific provision preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. According to Trump, strict monitoring and enforcement mechanisms will ensure compliance with the commitment.
While declining to provide extensive details about the contents of the document, Trump said the full text of the agreement will be released to the public in the near future.
Macron, meanwhile, announced that France and the United Kingdom will lead an international maritime mission to coordinate the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. He said approximately 20 countries are expected to participate in the effort.
Trump also expressed optimism about future relations with Iran, saying he had developed constructive communication with Iranian officials and hoped bilateral ties would move in a positive direction.
