Kyrgyz president to take part in session of CSTO Collective Security Council in Minsk

Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2023. / Kabar/. On November 23, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will take part in the regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Minsk (Belarus), head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Muratbek Azymbakiev told.

“The session will be chaired by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The Secretary General of the Organization, Imangali Tasmagambetov, will make a report on the results of the CSTO activities during the intersessional period.

Members of the Collective Security Council will discuss current problems of international and regional security, identify upcoming tasks, and also adopt a number of documents aimed at ensuring the interests of collective security.

The leaders of the CSTO countries will sum up the results of Belarus’s chairmanship in the organization and hear information on priority areas of activity during the upcoming chairmanship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2024,” Azymbakiev said.
