БАКУ /TurkicWorld/ - Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has launched an upgraded version of the Mushaf Qatar digital application, introducing new features designed to support Quran recitation, memorization, interpretation and contemplation.
The upgraded application is part of the ministry’s digital transformation efforts and aligns with its strategic plan and the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
One of the main new features is the Intelligent Quran Assistant, which allows users to search for meanings, request explanations of verses and receive quick answers to questions related to the Quran.
The application also offers an integrated memorization and revision system. Users can track their progress verse by verse, create revision plans and monitor their achievements, helping them maintain consistency in Quran memorization.
The platform includes an extensive audio and interpretation library, with complete Quran recitations by prominent reciters from across the Islamic world, as well as Qatari reciters.
It also provides access to authoritative Quranic commentaries, including works attributed to Al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, allowing users to explore the meanings of the Quranic text in greater depth.
Other functions include a digital tasbih counter, a Qibla direction finder and a smart interface showing the remaining time until the next prayer.
The upgraded version also contains a documentation section detailing the history and development of Mushaf Qatar, from its initial concept and the writing and proofreading stages to printing and official launch.
Khalid Shaheen Al Ghanem, Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs and Chairman of the Mushaf Qatar Committee, said the upgraded application reflects the ministry’s efforts to develop reliable digital services related to the Holy Quran.
He said the application was developed using modern technological standards to provide users with a more convenient and efficient experience while continuing Mushaf Qatar’s longstanding mission of serving the Quran.
