BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 28. Qatar and Tanzania have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The first round of political consultations was held on Monday in Doha, bringing together senior officials from Qatar and Tanzania to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments.
The Qatari delegation was headed by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, while the Tanzanian side was led by Prime Minister Muyingo Nishimiya.
During the consultations, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations, alongside the latest developments at the regional and international levels.
The talks also covered a number of issues of common interest, providing a framework for continued diplomatic coordination between the two countries.
The new memorandum establishes a formal mechanism for political consultations between the foreign ministries of Qatar and Tanzania.
