BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. US President Donald Trump says the United States maintains substantial stocks of military ammunition despite recent concerns about interceptor missile inventories.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said the US possesses "a lot of ammunition" across multiple categories of weapons.
"We have a lot of ammunition, different types," the president said, while arguing that the country continues to maintain strong military capabilities.
Trump blamed the administration of former President Joe Biden for supplying large quantities of weapons to Ukraine, saying the transfers had reduced US stockpiles.
"And so we're building that up. But we have a lot. We have a lot of the mid-level stuff too. I mean, more than we could ever use, no matter what," Trump said.
The president also highlighted ongoing production of Patriot air defense systems, saying, "The Patriots, in particular, are being built."
His remarks come amid renewed discussion over US military readiness and defense production as Washington continues to monitor multiple international security challenges.
