BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. Russian President Vladimir Putin has conveyed Iran’s position on a possible resolution of the war to US President Donald Trump, the Kremlin said.
“ In coordination with the president of Iran, Putin conveyed to Trump the Iranian side’s view on a possible resolution of the conflict,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, according to Russian media reports.
The Kremlin statement comes amid diplomatic contacts over the conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel. Details of the conditions conveyed by Putin were not disclosed in the reported remarks.
Trump said on Friday that he had reached an agreement with Putin allowing Russia to export more than one million tonnes of diesel over the coming months despite US sanctions.
The US president said the arrangement was intended to help bring down global fuel prices, which have surged amid the US-Israeli war on Iran.
